Have good selection of beer and food. A bit confuding to order and close/switch tabs....
Waited 30+ minutes for food to arrive. Ended up canceling the order as time ran out before flight time.
Worst Service Ever! Food is price and poor quality. Don't waste your time here there are other better places here @the airport. Definitely service should be a negative number -5 stars!
Had the chicken sandwich. It was better than expected. I would recommend it.
Came here with family!!! Amazing food and what a wonderful selection!
You are welcome to buy their $35 hamburger meal which isn't any better than the $9 meal at Wendy's. Gentrified food with ipads staring at you while you eat and with you pay the tip defaults to 20%. Servers are nowhere around so I'm not sure sure the gratuity goes...beyond a ripoff and I completely regret eating here. 2 stars because everything was clean, nothing else worth any stars
One of the best burgers I've had in a long time.
What a cool place inside the Newark airport. Best thing is they stay open until the last flight leaves... ask if Quinn is there...he is the best bartender!
The best burger in Newark. Make sure you got the Truffle tater tots when you try it. I understand a lot of people give this place a mediocre review, although when you're in an airport generally tensions are high and you sit down there to eat when you're waiting for a layover or delay or cancellation. The service was very quick the beer and Cocktails were cold and serves and a clean and professional atmosphere. The burgers are extremely tender and they will cook it exactly how you asked for it. So if you order a rare and your burger comes out rare don't complain about it. This place is generally always packed and very hard to find a seat during peak hours but well worth the wait.
The burger was done just as I wanted. Overall this was a good meal.
It's at an airport so my bar is already reflective, but got their burger and carton special and it did what was needed. Fries won't wow anyone, but big burger and couple ipas for 30$? 👍
Settled on this place based on location and the great menu selection. I ordered the loaded fries app and a ginger ale. Super excited ! Placed order at 737pm food arrived at 810pm... I thought that was a bit much but no worries I had time.My fries however were not loaded. They had cheese only, I asked where were the chives, bacon , and if possible a side of sour cream. She told me they did not have sour cream (no worries) she came back with the unloaded fries and said "we ran out of bacon and other stuff"The order was already paid for and as to cut my loses I said "thank you" the fries were good, I just wish they were what I asked for...Very disappointing and unsatisfying.
Went to browse the menu while I waited for my flight. Was approached by a staff member and was told I had to move to another area. Keep in mind that there were plenty of empty chairs for guests. I walk away only to notice a few minutes later that a pair of gentlemen sat in the same spot and were told nothing. Very rude service. No wonder they are never busy.
Nice Burger but spot but overpriced. We at here while waiting on our delayed flight to Vegas and decided to have this burger, fries and 2 cocktails and the bill was $80. We didnt even leave town yet and was paying out of town pricing for an artisan style burger. It was good but not worth almost $20 but they have to trapped because of your flight get delayed like ours was for almost 2 hrs. You get hungry and want a drink and then they got you. Long Island Iced Tea and a Cosmo with Grey Goose approx. $40.They say that Newark Airport has the best terminal food in the country and I see why they can afford to pay top notch chefs to cook there.Overall a nice spot if you get hungry and dont mind spending. Hopefully your flight dont get delayed and you can spend that $$$ on cocktails at your final destination.
Ordered from the "take out" side via tablet. The kitchen itself is small and had about 5-6 employees cooking/coordinating each order. I could tell they were overwhelmed. The seating area is enormous so the no wonder the staff had trouble keeping up. It took 20+ minutes for two chicken tacos and some mixed greens so I had to ask several times about my food as I didn't want to miss my flight. When it did arrive, it was suprisingly tasty. I wouldn't come here again unless the airport was extremely quiet. It appears as a fast casual restaurant but it's anything but.
You order on tablet, no drinks until after they bring food, fries were brown but raw on inside, our group ordered 4 buffalo chicken sandwiches, 2 were large crispy chicken breast, 2 were a 2 were small chicken strips, not crispy.
Less of a place to buy a meal and more of a place to pay $50 to wait hungrily for an hour before eventually giving up and running to board your flight. Employees just fiddle with their phones, wander aimlessly and stall. Would kind of love to work here.
Pretty good airport food.. Easy to order with the ipads and friendly staff.
The use of the tablet made ordering very easy. Be careful though as they forgot to bring my order.
Garbage, garbage, garbage. Very poor service. Would give zero stars if possible.
The fries were very salty. Burger was tasty but dry. Of course it was over priced because it's in the airport.
The bartender was so rude to me and everyone else. He was simply picking on people. I think the guy is mentally ill.It was painful. Customers were looking at each other.
Surprisingly solid airport food and drinks. Not mad
Undercooked burger patty. Soggy fries. Tossed the whole doggie bag after two bites. For a 22$ takeaway burger this is not recommended at all. I’d rather have McDonald’s at the same price.
We tried to get food to go. We watched as a food preparer ate food from the food station, another worker blew their nose and went back to preparing food without washing their hands, and when servers brought back dirty plates from sit down diners, they placed them on the prep counters with new orders being prepared! We asked for our money back and went to another place to eat!
Brand new Menu, unbelievable service. Ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich, hands down the best Buffalo chicken sandwich I've ever had. If you ever find yourself at Newark airport, for your sake; I hope you are flying out of C concourse.
Service was good. Food was good. I recommend if in this part of Terminal C.
We missed our connecting flight and ended up spending the night at Newark airport. We walked around the terminal asking just about every establishment if they were open...everyone said no. Even the quick service/pre-made stores were closed. The Wanderlust manager and staff made us wonderful food, helpful, and showed us kindness when after a long and frustrating day. Thank you!
Worst service at EER1 order drink and some fries took them almost 45 min just to bring my drink and my tab was ended without even bringing the fries. I called the server 33 minutes later he comes and asks who called him when I told him about my fries he said let me check and just disappeared I asked another server 15min later she says ohh sorry let me check I told I am about to leave as my flight started boarding all I was told was sorry not even a refund. Good idea to ripoff people by taking their money and not giving them food. Same happened with gentlemen sitting right in front of me he just up and left after waiting for 55 min.
0 stars!for ever 1 good employee, you'll find 5 terrible employees. they read off a script like a robot, so when you reply and it "does, not, com, pute..." they immediately go take a 2 hour lunch break and forget you ever existed.great business concept, executed in the worst possible way.p.s.. you still owe me a RECEIPT!
I ordered 6 wings at the take out counter. It took 25 minutes for me to get my order. The food was good but the service was VERY slow. It's also over priced.
Amazing! Got the wander burger n it was fantastic! A little messy but thats good burger tho. Everything in the airport or at least this 1 is very expensive but this place makes it more worth it, pair it with the local Bronx beer called boom boom or something n it's worth the $
Airport food… Reimagined.
I’m sitting here having a beer. I ordered some onion rings. If you are not interested in a burger or a Caesar salad then you would need to go someplace else because that is pretty much what they have on the menu. That and fried chicken sandwich. But it was right across from my gate. So it was a pleasant place to sit.
All of the servers were chatting amongst themselves. Had to flag someone down for water and then a second person to finally deliver. The burgers were delicious although a little rare. These guys are enjoying each other but the customers are a distant second.
Ordered a burguer and they delivered it to someone else, apparently. Complained and still didn't get my food. Ripoff. Avoid this place!
Tooo salted..and a little bit fat..Nice guys but a little bit slow (but we've been advised..)
Wow yes a good place at an airport where the food is actually ok and the service great. Thanks guys. And the music is pretty awesome too.
It's expensive, is worth it. Just do it, get a burger, you can afford it. Waitress was very nice and helpful.
Nice place for small dish like burger and also a good bar. Good to dine alone also. Staff is cooperative. They accept card payment as well as cash also. Takeout option is also available. Recommend dish is fried chicken 🍔 burger comes along with finger fries. Dejon is helpful.
Service was friendly and relatively quick at 15 minutes from time of order. However, like most airport restaurants, it's overpriced for the food quality. Fries are clearly of the bagged frozen variety and not well disguised, burger patty was in desperate need of some seasoning, and even the toppings lacked a fresh or flavorful quality. Bun was fine, certainly not a high quality brioche bun, as the juices from the burger had turned the outside soggy in the time it was on the plate. But, it's airport food and not the worst I've had, and at least it was relatively quick.
Food is very large and a bit expensive.
After few cancelations we have finally arrived from SF to EWR and we were starving soooo..... we sat down here and it was amazing. Had few glasses of wine and a crispy chicken sandwich with spicy coleslaw 👌🏻yum! Staff was really great too. Very fun people. My other half had grilled chicken sandwich and was happy as well. Not bad for bar food. EWR has the best food options anyways!
I was starving while having a 2 hours plus layover at Newark and I needed to grab something to eat. Well across from gate that I was departing from was Wanderlust Burger Bar. I sat down and skimmed through the menu a bit before coming across the B.L.T.A. Burger. It’s there signature 10 oz burger patty topped with apple-wood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado spread, and white cheddar cheese. I opted to have it with the sweet potato fries which was the best decision I made, and I can’t forget my signature drink a Mojito. The service was great as well as the food. I definitely recommend this spot if your ever in concourse C at Newark/New York International Airport.
I understand that this is an airport restaurant and I should have very low expectations; however, when paying nearly $40 for breakfast for 2, I expect being asked if I want water. I also dont expect waiting 30+ minutes for our meals when it's not even busy at 6:10 am. This is cutting it close for our flight when we originally had plenty of time. We have eaten at the airport before and have had much better experience. Other than extremely poor service, this place is overpriced and low quality. Go somewhere else and hope for the best.
Everything in this terminal is overpriced. The burgers are edible but you most likely will have luke warm fries and forget about noticeable extras like avocado. Barely noticeable and more like a "whisper".
My husband ordered the breakfast sandwich with sausage. He loved it. Breakfast ends at 11am. He ordered at 1059am. sandwich came at 1105 am! I waited for menu to switch to lunch. Order the buffalo chicken with sweet potatoe fries, with a chocolate milk. Food came quickly. Service was good! Terminal was not busy. Maybe about 20 people eating/drinking. Very pleased overall!
It is very expensive, a coke and burger will cost you close 30 bucks! Also, if you are in hurry for the flight, it will take at least 20 min to get your food. The burger was good, but be aware for time and cost, both are at the longer/higher ends.
With almost two hours to kill waiting to board a flight to Austin, TX, I decided to stop at Wanderlust (Newark Air’s latest addition in Terminal C) ... First, you have access to a clean environment, power outlets, USB power as well, iPad enabled ordering and a friendly staff. I ordered the fried egg and Taylor Ham on a croissant. It was good. WouldI order it again, yes. My only thought was it tasted like it was saturated in butter. Not necessarily a bad thing depending on who you ask. This place is known more for their lunch/dinner menu. If I’m around at that time, I’ll try the fried pickles, truffle burger and what they’re known for, Tater Tot Poutine.
Terrible service and basic egg sandwich takes 20 minutes to make, that is if there is no on ahead of you. 5 employees, with 1 of them cooking and 4 of them standing around.
